Annual Activities for FUN

Penny Plaque A plaque of pennies buried in a public place somewhere in Spokane County. A clue is given at each meeting. The lucky member who finds the plaque gets a small chest of treasure and gets to re-hide the plaque and provided clues until it is found again.

Penny on a Chain In the winter when the Penny Plaque is not practical, the Penny on a Chain provides a similar activity. The Penny on a Chain is left with a local business in the Spokane area. As with the Penny Plaque the finder gets a small chest of treasure and gets to find the next hiding place and provides clues at the meeting.

20015 Hunts and Events:

Dollar daze Annual Hunt:        We will be holding the hunt at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. The fairgrounds are located about 2 miles north of I-90. There is several motels, restaurants and amenities nearby. The hunt will be more affordable this year, but we will still have a great hunt with lots of silver. We will still have a special coin drawing for anyone turning in junk from the hunt fields. Shrine Circus will be going on Saturday, like last year. There is dry camping available the same as last year.. The cost is $15.00 per night. There is also sites available in the Fairgrounds with some hookups with water and electrical plug-in (Not suitable for motor home power). There is no sewer at these hookups. They are also a distance from the hunt site.
